The Role
Overall In charge of all site related construction/execution.
Responsible for the management, execution and delivery of construction projects.
Create and execute construction work plans, revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
Schedule the construction works in logical steps and approved budget to meet deadlines.
Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.
Evaluate construction methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans.
Attend progress meetings with clients, Consultants and other stake holders.
Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
Manage day to day operational aspects of a project and scope.Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
Determine appropriate revenue recognition, ensure timely and accurate invoicing, and monitor receivables for project.
Plans & supervises the construction functions which includes the responsibility for the planning and coordination of all manpower and equipment, materials, supplies and sub-contracted services, towards the proper completion of the work on schedule with approved drawings, specifications, cost & quality limitations.
Monitor sub-contractors work to ensure proper compliance with all technical aspects of the contract through both individual and co-ordination meetings.
Control of works as per project specification.
Review engineering and architectural drawings and specifications frequently as well as consult with design professionals to ensure that progress is made in harmony with the outlined plans and specs.
Collaborate with cost estimators to ensure that expenses are recorded properly and monitor the costs of the project so that the project does not go over budget.
Coordinate with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of various site activities.
Overseeing the running of several projects using construction management software packages to plan smooth work flows.
Communicating with a range of people including the client, subcontractors, suppliers, the public and the workforce.
